If you made it over to our Community Playdate at Hayden Tract Culver City on Saturday, you know that it was a packed one! It was such a great morning and cool venue spot. I loved meeting so many new families. It’s been the coolest to see how much we’ve grown in a year and a half and to meet parents from all over the city. If you came, I’d love to hear what you enjoyed most or what you’re looking for in the next one. We have a few fun things planned for end of year and always looking for your feedback to make them even more special.

📍 El Sereno
LA Made Presents: Día De Los Muertos Paper Flower Workshop
Thursday 9/25 Celebrate Día De Los Muertos by learning how to craft traditional paper marigolds - the vibrant cempazúchitl that guide loved ones back to family altars. A hands-on workshop perfect for kids and parents to create together, while exploring the meaning behind this iconic flower of the holiday. (4pm)

Montana Ave Art Walk
Saturday 9/27 A day full of free, art-filled fun for the family, hosted by Paint Lab at Montan Ave Art Walk. Highlights include face painting and vendor booths, kids’ acrylic painting lessons, abstract adventure stations, speed portraits, and a special step-by-step painting session for ages 12+ (limited spots). A chic way to spend a Saturday with the kids! (1pm - 6pm)

EllyPop Pop-Up at Opal
Saturday 9/27 A playful morning collab with freezer pops, tattoos for adults AND kids, hair tinsel, and fun perks. Plus, 10% of sales benefit Garden School Foundation, supporting garden-based education. A feel good outing with plenty for both parents and kids. (9am - 12pm)

Autry Annual Block Party
Saturday 9/27 A full scale community celebration honoring local first responsders with something for everyone: carnival rides and games, bounce houses, live music, plein air painting, classic car show, PBS character meet-and-greet, horse workshops, and docent-led museum tours. Food trucks, market vendors, and a family play space all in one. (10am - 5pm)

📍 Hollywood
Coco Fan Event + Mariachi
Saturday 9/27 Step into the world of Coco (one of Disney’s best imo) with a festive evening: live performances by Mariachi Divas and Ballet Folklórico de Los Angeles, a “Fiesta of Lights” music pre-show, and a photo-op entrance moment. Ticket options include a Fiesta Pack (with Dante Sipper, popcorn, priority entry). (7pm)
