May 28th—here's where I'm taking my kids this week

Pre-Preschool Open House, The Neverending Story at Beverly Cinema & a Bob Baker Puppet Show

Our free weekly email keeps you in the loop of local kid-friendly events and things to do 🤝

*These aren’t ALL the events happening this week in and around LA, just the best (IMO). We keep it short and curated—follow on IG + TT for more!

In Partnership with Play 2 Progress
Our friends at Play 2 Progress are hosting a free Pre-Preschool Open House, this Saturday June 1st from 10-11:30am. Enjoy a 30-minute class with access to the sensory gym followed by a tour of the space and a meet and greet with staff at their West Hollywood location! Their parent and child program will run twice a week in the fall for kids who are between 16-36 months.
Spaces are very limited, RSVP HERE!

We featured Play 2 Progress back in August and have been loving their drop-in classes each week. Here are 3 reasons why my kids (ages 2.5 and 4) love P2P:
1. The zip line and foam pit are a BIG hit with my 4 year old!
2. They offer 1: 1 OT and group OT.
3. They have a “cozy corner” that helps calm down big feelings and has been so helpful during session.

Play 2 Progress is a hands-on play experience for kids, designed by Occupational Therapists, that includes parental support and group classes with a focus on sensory integration! They have 3 locations: Studio City, West Hollywood & Santa Monica!

📍 Mid-City
Saturday 6/1 Calling all Girl Scouts! Petersen Auto Museum is hosting a Scouts Workshop: Automotive Engineering Series for Daisy and Brownie level scouts. The 3 hour class will earn you 4 different badges! Learn about the design and manufacturing process while touring the museum. Scouts will then get to work designing, building and racing their own model car! (9am - 4pm)

📍 Pasadena
Saturday 6/1 Create art, enjoy musical performances, and participate in interactive readings with local authors at Super-Fun Saturday by LAist. The free family event will also be giving away a superhero baby carrier, an umbrella stroller, and other fun goodies! (9am - 12pm)

📍 West Hollywood
Saturday & Sunday 6/1 & 6/2 Take your kids to see an 80’s classic, The Neverending Story, showing as a matinee both days! (2pm)

📍 Mid-City
Saturday 6/1 Academy Museum is hosting a fun workshop: Puppets and Pride with Bob Baker Marionette Theater in honor of pride month. Kids will celebrate love, self-acceptance, and community through a musical marionette lineup of proud puppets performing a confection of medleys from LGBTQ+ icons, queer history, and more! (12pm - 3:30pm)

📍 Highland Park
Sunday 6/2 A very cool Mini Haircuts & Shopping event happening east side by MOM World of By Way of Us. Shop the latest from Milk Teeth (our friends and faves) and book haircuts for little ones from Hairdaaays. Each haircut includes a clip from Milk Teeth! Way cute. (10am - 2pm)
