March 19th—here's where I'm taking my kids this week

Lantern Festival, Family Day at Tar Pitts and an Egg Hunt

Our free weekly email keeps you in the loop of local kid-friendly events and things to do 🤝

This heat has been wild. We’ll likely head to the beach this weekend, and I’m sure the rest of LA will be there too. The pieces of our next Community Playdate are coming together and I’m excited to share the details soon. We are also building out a really fun concept in SF for our next event series called, Little Rituals. If you have friends or family in SF, make sure they’re subscribed to our weekly newsletter - we’ll share the link there first!

I’m starting to think about summer camp and tbh, I’m stressed. We did nothing last year and it was not a good situation for any of us. 🙃 I’m thinking about doing a couple 1-2 week camps that focus on one activity each. We’ve done traditional camp and it felt a little too routine and I want them to be excited for back to school come August. I’m thinking maybe tennis, skateboarding or golf? Rediscover also has a cool one but it’s not close to us (but not totally off the table). HAWKS also has a great nature based outdoor camp but it’s also a bit of a drive. I might open this up to the What’s App and if you’re looking for recommendations too, maybe we can chat more there?

We included this event in a previous newsletter and you all loved it. Here’s another one happening this Saturday. Trail Tails is a 90 minute outdoor adventure with storytelling, music, and a guided nature walk where kids (ages 2-7) learn about local birds and plants. Expect snacks, shady rest stops, and a sweet arts & crafts moment to wrap.

*These aren’t ALL the family-friendly events happening this week in and around LA, just the best (IMO). We keep it short and curated—follow on IG + TT for more!
