Palomita
Palomita is for sure the coolest kid’s concept store that I frequent once a month, at least. The owner, Marisa, has an incredible eye for hand-selecting unique and special toys, many of which started as small Etsy shops. If a cool kids brand is starting to blow up, you likely saw it on Palomita first!

The shop offers an expertly curated selection of books, educational toys, unique nursery decor, hard to find toy brands and many sold out and limited edition drops, with brands like Super Friends Workshop, which I still regret not getting my hands on! I’ve been waiting for her to tap into kids clothing and she finally started curating a very small collection on her site that includes Maison Mangostan out of Spain! Keep an eye out for her Holiday Shop that just launched. She continues to add new arrivals each day, like this insane felt Santa Pillow. So cute!

Vincent Lugo Park
📍 San Gabriel
Prospect Ave & Wells Street, Prospect Ave, San Gabriel, CA 91776

Vincent Lugo, also known as “Dinosaur Park” is a historic park (built in 1965!) that still stands as one of the coolest parks in Los Angeles. Recently renovated, the iconic play area is sea creature themed with a whale slide, sea monsters, an octopus and the famous dragon slide atop a lighthouse! There are picnic areas, a sandbox and a large grassy area for the kids to run around. There’s even a little stream with a bridge that kids can explore!
