Happy 1st week of January! It’s a new year and the kids are back to school, what’s not to love? Here’s what’s going on this week:

1/4 Walk through a Life-Sized Candyland at Burbank Central Library (2pm - 4pm)

1/4 and 1/5 Meet a Pacific Pal in a bubble-filled meet and greet at Aquarium of The Pacific in Long Beach (10am - 4pm)

1/5 It’s FREE First Fridays at Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena. Enjoy no cost entry from 3pm - 6pm!

1/7 Head to the Malibu Farmer’s Market for a Slime Workshop with pre-activated slime for a creative and sensory experience. (11am - 1pm)

1/7 Take a drive to Newport Beach for an outdoor experience at Children’s Mindful Picnic: Exploring The Five Senses with Food, Yoga and Art (1:15pm - 3:35pm)

1/7 Japanese American National Museum (JANM) is hosting Oshogatsu Family Festival. The popular annual New Year celebration will include free crafts, performances, and cultural activities for all ages to ring in the Year of the Dragon. (11am - 5pm)

1/8 Check out the Dumpling Folding Workshop at Woon Kitchen in Historic Filipinotown. Kids and families are invited to learn about the history of dumplings within Chinese cuisine and how to fold dumplings 3-different ways with chef Janine Liu. (4pm)
