📍 Little Tokyo
Wednesday 1/1 Head to Little Tokyo for the 26th Annual Japanese New Year’s Oshogatsu Festival! Enjoy Japanese food, entertainment and cultural activities such as mochi making, a kimono fashion show, shamisen show, Kompo, and more for families of all ages! (10:50am - 3:40pm)
📍 Culver City
Saturday 1/4 Head over to pLAy at Platform for a Kids Vision Board Party! Little dreamers will be able to create their own vision boards, imagining all the awesome things they want to achieve in the year ahead! Such a fun craft for families to do together. (1pm - 3pm)
📍Mid City
Saturday 1/4 Car-obsessed teens will love this one! Check out the Teen Auto Workshop 101: Internal Combustion Engine hosted at Petersen Auto Museum! The half-day class combines interactive classroom instruction with practical, hands-on experience, all guided by skilled mechanics in a fully equipped shop. Participants will gain basic car maintenance skills and learn how vehicles operate. They’ll leave with step-by-step guidance on changing a tire and performing an oil change. (10am - 2pm)
📍 Sierra Madre
Now through Sunday 1/5 Don’t miss Bob Baker’s The Nutcracker at Sierra Madre Playhouse! The original Nutcracker show was performed with hand-and-rod puppets but over the years, the talented team of artisans and craftspeople at at Bob Baker have created a dreamscape adaptation of the ballet with large scale marionettes and intricate sets. So special! (9am - 2pm)
