February 3rd—here's where I'm taking my kids this week

We’re still recovering from lingering sickness leftover from January, playing catch up on all fronts and truly just taking our time. Definitely already feel different energy going into February and we’re excited to start planning events for Spring and beyond. I’m thinking about our events calendar a bit differently this year, more on that soon!

Enjoy Super Bowl weekend whatever you decide to do!

📍 Los Feliz
Ice Cream For Breakfast Day at Jeni’s
Saturday 2/7 My kids are going to love this. The 10th annual Ice Cream for Bfast celebration returns this Saturday (at participating neighborhood Jeni’s locations). Swing by with friends and the kids for ice cream for breakfast first thing in the morning, plus a few sweet surprises. We used to frequent the Los Feliz location all the time when we lived on that side but there are plenty of other Jeni’s around the city! (9am - 12pm)

📍 Pasadena
Winter South Pasadena Arts Crawl
Saturday 2/7 Enjoy a family-friendly neighborhood night out in South Pas. Walk along Mission Street and surrounding blocks as local artists, musicians, and small businesses come together for an afternoon of art exhibition, interactive activities, open houses, shopping, and food. This free community event hosted by South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, is an easy, low pressure way to explore the neighbor via a family walk. (2pm - 7pm)

📍 Studio City
What Do You Do With an Idea? Story Hour at The Last Book Store
Saturday 2/7 Our family randomly stopped by the newest location of The Last Book Store in Studio City off Lankershim and it’s such a cool spot. I’ve always loved TLBS, so I was excited to see a closer location in the valley. I can’t find this specific story time event listed anywhere online but I snapped a photo on my phone of the graphic they had in store. It looks like a cute storytime event, and they have a really cute kids area. My two loved wandering around the store. (10:30am)

📍 Pasadena
Western Valentine: Family Fun Day at The Autry
Saturday 2/7 Celebrate Valentine’s Day early with a creative western-themed activities in the Family Play Space at The Autry. Make whimsical Valentine cards, complete with a Pony Express scavenger hunt, and craft your own Pony express mailbag. (10am - 2pm)
*free with museum admission

📍 Hollywood
15th Street Block Party
Saturday & Sunday 2/7 & 2/8 Support some incredible Black-owned brands and enjoy food, music, and community on the Paramount Studios backlot. The two-day celebration is hosted by the Fifteen Percent Pledge and features 100+ Black-owned makers, artists, food vendors, DJs, and special programming.
