3/2 Head over to LACMA for a drop-in Communities Create LA Whimsical Puppets workshop. Recycle old paper lunch bags and bring your character to life in this puppet-making class.

3/2 Head over to Children’s Book World: Story Time Series with Drew Daywalt. You may know his work from the popular kid’s book, The Day The Crayons Quit! He’ll be reading his newest tale, The Wrong Book. (12:30pm)

3/2 African Storytelling Re-Imagined at Pretend City with Ada-Ari, author of The Spider’s Thin Legs. This story incorporates a counting exercise and includes a moral lesson about following instructions. Learn a famous Ghanian dance move, fun cultural facts, interact with authentic artifacts, and engage in coloring and trace-by-number activities! (10:30am - 11:30am)

3/2 It’s Plant Day at Central Library! Kids and adults can learn plants basics at Pot Painting & Repotting workshop with Latinx With Plants. Decorate your own terracotta pot, choose a small succulent to plant inside and take it home! (every 15 minutes from 10am - 1pm)
