2/22 Check out Let’s Get in a Pickle Together at Valley Plaza Branch Library. Come celebrate Chinese New Year with fermentation specialist Jessica Wang leading a children’s workshop on pickling. Learn about the science and health benefits of fermented foods and how we can prevent food waste. (4pm)

2/24 Bring your little one to Kids Day with Erik Oberg at Growing Works Nursery. This planting workshop is hosted by National Parks Ranger, biologist, and landscape designer Erik Oberg. Kids will pick a native plant of their own and leave with it planted and ready to grow! (10am - 11:30am)

📍 Mid City
2/24 Visit Academy Museum for Calm Morning: A Wrinkle in Time event to experience the museum in a less-sensory-stimulating setting. Explore the Identity Gallery and check out the Stories of Cinema exhibition where families can create their own costume designs together. Sound and lighting adjustments will be made for a more sensory-friendly viewing experience!(9am)

2/24 & 2/25 Kidspace is having their Year of The Dragon Lunar New Year Celebration this weekend. Encounter traditional lion dog and dragon dances, imagine dragons with timeless tales spun by storyteller Barbara Wong, and create daring dragons with painting and puppet-making workshops. (10am - 3:15pm)
